ORU's Camargo Chosen To Play For Brazil National Team

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Oral Roberts University junior guard Mariana Camargo has been chosen to play for the women's basketball team from her native country of Brazil in the 2007 World University Games.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Oral Roberts University junior guard Mariana Camargo has been chosen to play for the women's basketball team from her native country of Brazil in the 2007 World University Games.

The bi-annual event will be held from August 7th through 17th in Bangkok, Thailand.

Camargo led the Mid-Continent Conference last season in assists, averaging 4.2 per game, as the Golden Eagles won the league title and reached the NCAA tournament.

ORU coach Jerry Finkbeiner says the opportunity Camargo has to play for the Brazilian team should benefit her as a player.
