TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The Tulsa Drillers will hold a memorial and tribute Tuesday night at Drillers Stadium to honor late coach Mike Coolbaugh. Coolbaugh died July 22nd when he was hit in the neck by a line drive while coaching first base during the Drillers' game against the Arkansas Travelers.
Tuesday will be the Drillers' first home game since Coolbaugh's death.
The Drillers will officially retire Coolbaugh's Number 29 jersey during pre-game ceremonies Tuesday night. The team also will have memorabilia and autographed items available for a silent auction that will take place during the game on the stadium concourse.
All proceeds generated by the auction will go to the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund that was established to benefit his family.
The stadium will open at 6 p.m. Tuesday for the Drillers' 7:05 p.m. matchup against the Wichita Wranglers.
