Oklahomans will continue to enjoy warm, dry weather for the most part on Thursday. The National Weather Service said there will be an opportunity for thunderstorms across southeast Oklahoma as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico moves northward into the region, but chances will be slight. Partly cloudy conditions will continue elsewhere. On Wednesday, skies were clear to partly cloudy and temperatures ranged from 86 degrees in McAlester to 94 degrees in Guymon. The mercury peaked at 89 degrees in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, the weather service said. Southeastern Oklahoma will see a slight chance of thunderstorms on Thursday, but skies should be partly cloudy and conditions dry elsewhere. Temperatures should top out in the 80s and 90s and dip into the 60s and 70s Thursday night. Storm chances may increase in the Oklahoma Panhandle and southeastern sections on Friday. Highs in the 80s and 90s and low temperatures in the 60s and 70s are forecast. Skies should be partly to mostly cloudy on Saturday, with a slight chance of storms in western and central Oklahoma and a better chance in the east, forecasters said. Temperatures should reach the 80s and 90s on Saturday and fall into the 60s and 70s Saturday night. There will be a chance of storms statewide on Sunday, with highs reaching the 80s and 90s and lows in the 60s and 70s expected. A slight chance of thunderstorms remains in the forecast for eastern Oklahoma on Monday. The mercury should peak in the 80s and 90s before falling into the 60s and 70s Monday night, according to the weather service.
