MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) -- Police in Midwest City are looking for suspects in the robbery of a fast-food restaurant in which the manager was pistol-whipped.
Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes says two masked men grabbed the manager of a Whataburger restaurant early Friday morning. The manager was cleaning the parking lot at the time.
Clabes says the men forced the manager at gunpoint inside the restaurant and then struck him in the head with a handgun.
The robbers obtained all of the cash in the safe and ordered the clerks to clean out the cash registers. Witnesses say they left on foot toward a nearby apartment complex.
The manager was treated for a head injury and released from Midwest Regional Medical Center.
