OKEMAH, Okla. (AP) -- Two Texans are dead following a collision on Interstate 40 in Okfuskee County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Guadalupe Hipolito and 23-year-old Jesus Martinez, both of Brownsville, Texas, died at the scene of Thursday's collision. Their names were released Saturday after their families were notified.

The collision occurred about 9:30 p.m. Troopers say a pickup truck driven by Hipolito was traveling the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of I-40 when it struck two eastbound vehicles, including a tractor-trailer truck.

The victims were pinned in the wreckage for about two-and-one-half hours. Their bodies were extricated by the Okemah Fire Department.
