2 Arrested In Toddler's Overdose Death

IDABEL, Okla. (AP) _ State investigators arrested two people Tuesday in connection with the death of an Idabel toddler after a toxicology report showed the girl died from a drug overdose.

Jessica Wells, 21, was arrested Tuesday morning in Idabel on a felony child-abuse complaint in the death of her 19-month-old daughter, Samara Wallace, said Jessica Brown, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

A recently released toxicology report indicates the toddler died from an overdose of the painkiller Oxycodone, Brown said.

The girl's boyfriend, Kirby Josh Biassee, 19, was arrested on a second-degree murder complaint because investigators believe the pills belonged to him, Brown said.

Biassee and Wells were being held Tuesday in the McCurtain County Jail.
