Missing Woman Found Dead

TUPELO, Okla. (AP) -- The body of a missing Coal County woman was found Saturday afternoon by investigators in a body of water, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Sandra Gore, 47, had been last seen by friends in an area just west of Tupelo on Tuesday. OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown said investigators found Gore's body near where she was reported missing.

Brown said a medical examiner investigator is headed to the scene and that Gore's body will be taken to the state Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City for an autopsy. The results of that autopsy will determine the course of action for law enforcement, Brown said.
