OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Former Putnam City baseball star CJ Henry says he's not giving up on baseball.
An article earlier this week in the New York Times hinted Henry was considering giving up minor league baseball after next year for college basketball. The report said he might play at the same school as his younger brother Xavier.
But Henry says he's planning on being in the major leagues by the time Xavier graduates. Xavier will be a junior this fall at Putnam City.
CJ Henry was a first-round draft pick of the New York Yankees in 2005 and was later traded to Philadelphia. He's hitting .172 in A ball in the South Atlantic League.
