TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Several rivers in northeastern Oklahoma are back below flood stages Monday morning. The Caney River at Bartlesville is about 5 1/2 feet below the 13-foot flood stage after cresting at 21 1/2 feet last week.

The Verdigris River is at about 21 feet with the flood level being 28 feet. The Verdigris crested at about 41 feet.

And the Neosho River at Miami is more than a foot below the 15 foot flood stage after cresting at over 14 feet above flood stage last week.

The reprieve may be short-lived though because more rain and thunderstorms are forecast across the state through the middle of the week.
