NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma basketball coach Jeff Capel says Sunday he has dismissed incoming freshman Chris Early from the Sooners' team, but offered no reason for taking that action.
The dismissal was announced in a four-paragraph news release issued by OU's sports information office. The release said no additional comment would be made on what it called an internal matter.
Early, a 6-foot-6 guard from Huntington, West Virginia, played on three straight state high school championship teams.
Early signed with OU in November.
