MIAMI, Okla. (AP) _ Clean up efforts are already underway at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, where much of the campus remains underwater from flooding of the Neosho River. Summer classes were canceled at the school for the rest of the week, but are scheduled to resume Monday.

School officials say restoration efforts will begin once the water recedes. NEO employees worked around the clock to fill sandbags and remove equipment from buildings that were in danger of being flooded.

Flooding occurred in several campus facilities, including Ables Hall, the maintenance department, art museum, gymnasium, football field house, health and sciences building, dormitories and campus apartments.

Extensive flooding also occurred on the athletic practice fields, softball and baseball field and football field.
