ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- The cost of attending the University of Oklahoma is going up by nearly 10% beginning with the fall semester. OU regents meeting in Ardmore Wednesday approved a 9.7% increase for in-state students and a 9.9% increase for out-of-state students.
The increase raises tuition for in-state students by almost $500 to more than $5,600 per year.
Out-of-state students will now have to pay more than $14,700 for a year's tuition, that's an increase of more than $1,300 over last year.
Oklahoma State regents recently approved similar tuition increases.
