AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- LeBron James will be playing summer ball.

The Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward says he will be part of the U.S. national team in next month's FIBA America's Tournament, where the Americans will try to qualify for the 2008 Olympics.

James says he's had enough time off since playing in the NBA Finals. He says he doesn't know how much he's going to play or how extensively, but he'll play.

James had said previously he was "50-50" about playing for Team USA this summer. He played on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team and for the American squad that won a bronze medal at last summer's world championships.
