MACON, Ga. (AP) -- A part-time starter from the Oklahoma State women's basketball team that went to the NCAA tournament is transferring.

The head coach at Mercer announced Monday that 6’1 forward Dominique Chism has signed to play at the Georgia school after only one season with the Cowgirls.

Chism averaged 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds last season after transferring from a Texas junior college to Oklahoma State.

She started 17 of the Cowgirls' 33 games and ranked fourth on the team in rebounding and third in steals. Oklahoma State went to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1996.

Chism will have to sit out one year after transferring. She has one year of eligibility remaining.
