A traffic accident kept Tulsa Fire's Hazardous Materials crew busy for a while overnight. The accident happened in a neighborhood near 91st and Mingo around 12:40 a.m. Friday. Tulsa Police say the driver of a pickup truck was speeding and hit a parked landscaping truck.
The accident split a large storage tank on the landscaping truck, spilling 250 gallons of weed killer. Hazmat crews washed up everything. The driver of the pickup was taken to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Tulsa Police are checking to see if alcohol may have been involved.
And a Broken Arrow man was arrested overnight after his pickup truck hit a home. The accident happened at 91st and Mockingbird at 3 a.m. Friday. Tulsa Police say the driver tried to turn into his neighborhood, but could not make the corner and hit a home.
Tulsa Police say the residents of the home were asleep and did not know what happened until the police knocked on their door.
The driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
