Mother Finds Baby Dead

Police in Tulsa are investigating the death of a four-month-old baby. Investigators say a Tulsa mom returned home from work to discover her baby girl dead. The News On 6â€™s Ashli Sims reports the tragedy comes just a week before the babyâ€™s first Christmas.

Police on Wednesday evening were trying to piece together exactly what happened. They were called to the Normandy Apartments, near 38th and South Sheridan, around five o'clock. When they arrived, the four-month-old baby girl was already dead.

Investigators say the baby was sleeping next to her father. When the mother came home from work, she discovered the baby wasn't breathing. She called the paramedics, but it was too late. Police say there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Officers have questioned both parents. No one has been taken into custody.
