A Tulsa Police officer has been selected by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund as its officer of the month. Police officer Sergeant Stephanie Jackson was selected for her bravery during an incident last year where she was forced to shoot a woman who was waving around several knifes and threatening residents of an apartment complex.
Sergeant Jackson is the Tulsa Police Department's public education officer and attended more than 700 community events this year.
