A Tulsa man charged with 1st-degree murder in the deaths of two young girls will undergo a mental evaluation before the case against him can proceed. 33-year-old Joshua Muller will be examined in the Tulsa County jail to determine whether he understands his charges.

Muller will also be offered legal counsel to assist in preparing a court defense.

Muller is accused of firing an assault rifle into a vehicle killing two girls, ages 16 and 12. Another 12-year-old girl was also shot, but she survived.

Tulsa Police say the shootings occurred after Muller's wife told him the girls stole his wallet.
