OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Former teacher and one-time State School Board Association official Jo Pettigrew will assume her duties Tuesday as the newest member of the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.

Pettigrew of McLoud was appointed to a five-year term by Governor Brad Henry.

She replaces Ken Elliot.

Pettigrew was assistant executive director of the State School Board Association and also was executive director of the United Suburban Schools Association of Oklahoma.

A resolution honoring Elliott for his 10 years service is on the commission's agenda.

Commissioners are also to discuss proposed changes in ethics rules including restrictions on how much lobbyists can spend on meals for officials and preventing transfer of funds by political action committees.
