A Snowy Weekend Forecast For Oklahoma

Snow is expected in Oklahoma during the weekend and a heavy snow warning has been issued for the Panhandle through north-central sections of the state.

The National Weather Service has also issued a winter weather advisory for central and west-central Oklahoma and a winter storm watch for the northeast through Saturday.

The weather service said light rain, freezing rain or snow is expected Friday night with lows ranging from the mid teens in the Panhandle to the upper 30s in southeastern Oklahoma.

Saturday is to be cloudy with snow continuing across the northwestern half of the state and accumulations of two to six inches possible with highs reaching the upper 20s to the upper 30s.
