A Tulsa man suspected of murdering his girlfriend's sister has had his first appearance in a Tulsa County District courtroom delayed for two weeks. Eighteen-year-old Marquis Bullock is the lead suspect in the disappearance of 13-year-old Cori Baker. So far, no charges have been filed in the case.
Professional search teams want 1,000 volunteers to join the latest search for Cori Baker. Texas EquuSearch will make one last push on Saturday, before the group heads home.
"I've searched almost everything that's logical at this point. I'm going to re-search many areas tomorrow and move to some areas that haven't been touched yet. There's still a lot of area to cover. We just need the people, we just need the people to do it," said Cindy Wisdom of Texas EquuSearch.
Cori has been missing for three weeks and Tulsa Police believe Bullock kidnapped and killed her, but her body has not been found. A judge rescheduled Bullock’s hearing from Friday to December 14th at the request of the Tulsa County DA’s office.
Without Cori's body or other critical pieces of evidence, Bullock could be charged with a lesser crime than murder or released altogether. Meanwhile, Bullock remains in the Tulsa County jail.
Cori Baker was last seen in mid-November, when Bullock picked Baker up from her school at 5656 S. 129th E. Avenue. Those wanting more information can call 495-7121.
Tulsa Police say anyone with information about Cori Baker is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
