Woman Shoots Husband, Then Calls Police

A wife takes aim at her husband in west Tulsa Tuesday night. Police say a marital spat turned violent in the 100 block of South 42nd West Avenue. The couple was fighting when the wife grabbed a gun and shot her husband in the chest. She then called 911 and confessed to the crime.

When paramedics arrived, the husband was alert and talking. The wife will likely spend the night with police.

"She's been transported to the detective division where she'll be interviewed by detectives to determine whether or not a criminal complaint will be filed against her or not,â€ said Tulsa Police Captain Steve Bayles.

The major crime squad remained on the scene Tuesday night. Two small children were home during the shooting. They were taken to the homes of relatives.
