Extension Work Underway On Jogging Trail

Work is well underway at 13th and Peoria to accommodate the Midland Valley Bike Trail Extension. The bicycle lane on the bridge is basically complete along with a new railing, which has eliminated one of the lanes for car traffic. But, that's just temporary.

Crews will eventually tear out the concrete median on the bridge which will make room for all four lanes of car traffic. And, the city says there should still be a left-turn lane onto 14th Street.

The Midland Valley Extension will connect the River Parks Trails with downtown and the trails to Sand Springs and Skiatook.
