UNDATED (AP) -- Missouri is number one in the AP college football poll for the second time in school history. The Tigers took over the top spot after handing Kansas its first loss of the season last night, which followed previous number-one LSU's loss to Arkansas Friday night.
Missouri becomes the fourth team this season to be ranked number one. That hasn't happened since 1997.
Missouri picked up 45 first-place votes after improving to 11-and-1. West Virginia picked up 20 first-place votes to move up to the number two spot. The Mountaineers are 10-and-1 after crushing Connecticut 66-21 yesterday. Ohio State is third, followed by Georgia and LSU.
Virginia Tech, Kansas, Southern California, Oklahoma and Florida round out the top ten.
