Supporters of Tulsa's Mayor responded Thursday to some complaints by city councilors over the way he's running the city.

A group of religious and business leaders gathered to express support for Mayor Bill LaFortune. The group, organized by ORU President Richard Roberts, said Thursday they support the Mayor and the direction he's moving the city. "Tulsa has a lot of needs -- last thing we need is a squabble."

Thursday's rally was a response to the gathering Wednesday night where several city councilors criticized the mayor.

Councilor Chris Medlock leads a group on the council that opposes the mayor's initiatives - including parts of the Vision 2025 plan, expansion of the city, and the drive to make Tulsa a regional provider of water to the suburbs.
