A Tulsa Police chase through Tulsa ends with two people behind bars early Thursday. Officers say around eleven Wednesday night; they tried to stop a stolen vehicle thought to be involved in an attempted robbery of a Tulsa gas station.

The driver took off and led police on a 20 minute chase to Catoosa and back. For safety reasons, officers backed off. That’s when the driver jumped a curb and crashed into the tennis courts of Springdale Park.

Tulsa Police Captain Travis Yates: "I think what they were actually trying to do was to get back to the original location where we stopped them, which tells me someone probably lives in this area. Because where we are right now is real close to the area where we began the pursuit. So unfortunately when we terminated the pursuit, the suspects did not stop driving, kept driving, endangering citizens."

Two people were taken into custody. The search continues for a male passenger who ran away.

Tulsa Police say a home invasion and attempted robbery may be related to that chase. Shortly after midnight, police were called to a home near Seminole and College. The resident says a man forced his way into the home, but left before taking anything. No one was hurt.

Officers say the suspect matches the description of the suspect in the gas station robbery and police chase.
