Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune presented the State of the City address Tuesday. "We are building a better Tulsa, a safer more secure city."

The mayor delivered his address at a luncheon at the Doubletree Hotel. The State of the City is designed to improve communication between Tulsa's business community and local government.

The mayor talked about many things, but his primary focus was Tulsa's economy. "Vision 2025, river plan, that's for a more hopeful Tulsa.â€

More than 500 local business leaders, elected officials and others attend the luncheon each year.
