EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - New York Giants cornerback Frank Walker broke a bone in his right foot and will not play in Sunday's opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It's not clear how long Walker will be sidelined, Giants spokesman Avis Roper said. The team did not say how he broke his foot. Walker, a second-year player, shared the team lead last season with two interceptions. He was expected to be a backup this season.
