If you do any work around the house, I’m sure it comes as no surprise that people get hurt. But did you know 20-million people get hurt badly enough every year that they have to go to the doctor or hospital?

It's true and that's why the Home Safety Council created a traveling exhibit, called The Great Safety Adventure. It's an interactive exhibit to help kids recognize and avoid home injuries from burns to poison to chocking.

If offers a pretty good reminder for parents too. Safety ranger Mike Crim: "There's lots of different things parents can learn about, something as simple as leaving a pan on the edge of the stove with the handle facing out. We need to turn that in so no one can reach up and grab it. I get parents all the time, "Wow I didn't even think about things like that.""

You can visit The Great Safety Adventure this Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Lowe's at 15th and Yale.
