This weekâ€™s GOP convention speakers took aim at the differences between the candidates' voting records, which some said, translates into values.

But you have your own values and favorite issues. How do you know if all the rhetoric is true? News on 6 anchor Tami Marler has been checking into that.

She says there are a lot of Internet resources for people who remain undecided about the upcoming election. Some present the facts from a partisan point of view, but I found some that have some pretty good information.

For instance, www.vote-smart.org
is a non-partisan web site where you can zero-in on the people and issues that affect you and your family. Just enter your zip code and you'll find a wealth of information about candidates in national, state and local races.

Look for yourself at Senator John Kerry's record on defense votes in the Senate. You can click on each vote, read about its content and compare the candidate's vote with his colleagues.

But undecided voters say they value other important issues. President George W Bush doesn't have an actual voting record, but he has made a number of public statements, which you can also find on the www.vote-smart.org
web site.
