STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State freshmen Prentiss Elliott and Walter Thomas are eligible to play this season.

The NCAA clearinghouse says Elliott and Thomas are academically eligible after it reviewed their requests for waivers.

Elliott was a high school running back who was moved to receiver and has caught the attention of coaches.

Thomas is a defensive tackle who coach Les Miles says will probably see significant playing time this season.

OSU opens the season next Saturday at UCLA.
