Tulsa Police chased a couple of burglary suspects through Gilcrease Hills early Wednesday morning.

The chase started and ended because of quick thinking residents who alerted police. News on 6 reporter says it's a classic case of how important it is for people to call police when they see a suspicious vehicle.

Tulsa Police got a suspicious vehicle call about 6 AM; the car was spotted and turned out to be stolen. It was connected to a break in, just minutes before, at a nearby May's Drug Store.

Police chased the car into a neighborhood and 2 suspects jumped out and ran. Within a few minutes, a woman reported a break in at her garage and then another family spotted a bleeding man in their yard. They tried to help him and called the police. Deborah Brown: “We knew something was up when - no police - police came, manhandled him and arrested him.”

A 23-year-old man was arrested inside Ms Brown's home - his name is Yenrique Burr - he had a slight injury to his hand and was sent to the hospital. He's likely to face several charges including burglary and breaking and entering.

Tulsa Police couldn't find the other suspect.
