Thunderstorms rolled across Tulsa early Wednesday and dumped quite a bit of rain in some areas.

It made some roads dangerous and caused Tulsa Police to implement Operation Slick Streets.

While most of the accidents were not serious, on one I-244 was fatal. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says shortly before 7 AM, a car hydroplaned and hit the wall. A passenger, Elvira Ayala, crawled over the driver's side and got out of the car.

Troopers say she stood in front of the car and turned her back to traffic. That's when she was struck by a van and killed.

Two other vehicles rear-ended the van causing a pile up.
