McALESTER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma authorities are investigating a bullet that shattered two windows last week on a Missouri motorist's mini-van. Was it stray gunfire -- or a sniper shot?
Doug Rendleman of Bluffton was southbound on US 69 in McAlester a week ago when the bullet shattered his front passenger window, then the driver's window.
Rendleman was headed for his sister's house in Harper, Texas at the time of the shooting. He suffered small cuts from flying glass.
Pittsburg County undersheriff Richard Sexton says investigators have not determined if the gunfire was a stray bullet or a planned attack. But Sexton says several areas near the location are sometimes used as impromptu shooting ranges.
