State Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher faces new problems. A new indictment accuses Fisher of embezzlement.
Now, Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin wants him to step down. Fisher says he will not step down and has no plans to resign before his term is up in 2006.
The latest indictment alleges Fisher used a $1,000 campaign contribution for personal purposes. A multi-county grand jury also indicted Fisher on four felony counts, for illegally operating a charity, and for embezzling insurance education funds.
Fisher says he's innocent. "I still say that I will be ready to stand tall when all of this is over and look people in the eye and those who have accused me, I'll accept their apology and we'll go on about our business."
A special legislative committee meets again today. It's considering whether Fisher should be impeached.
