A ' Journey of Hope' across America

A Georgia woman is on a mission to raise awareness about Hepatitis C, after her husband was diagnosed with the virus. <br/><br/>Deborah Simone and her husband, Paul Hagan are taking the Journey of Hope.

A Georgia woman is on a mission to raise awareness about Hepatitis C, after her husband was diagnosed with the virus.

Deborah Simone and her husband, Paul Hagan are taking the Journey of Hope. Deborah is walking 10,000 miles across America, while Paul follows in a motor home.

Wednesday, they made their way through the Tulsa area.

Paul was diagnosed with Hepatitis C several years ago and needs a liver transplant. Deborah: "I walk with his courage in mind everyday. Struggle of many with the disease, can't motivate myself day after day, he pushes me down the road."

According the Centers for Disease Control, about 4 million Americans have Hepatitis C. It's spread by the contact with infected blood.
