Weatherford museum to receive, display moon rock

WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) -- A museum in Weatherford will soon be displaying a piece of the moon.<br/><br/>President Bush is giving each Apollo astronaut a small piece of material brought back from the moon.

WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) -- A museum in Weatherford will soon be displaying a piece of the moon.

President Bush is giving each Apollo astronaut a small piece of material brought back from the moon. Former astronaut Thomas Stafford is giving his to the General Thomas P- Stafford Air and Space Museum in his hometown of Weatherford.

Stafford is also donating his Congressional Space Medal of Honor for display in the museum.

Stafford commanded the Apollo 10 mission, which served as the final preparation for Apollo 11 to land on the moon in 1969.
