BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- A Bartlesville man is jailed on 100-thousand dollars bond on a charge of beating a 23-month-old boy.

Corrie Walker is being held on $100,000 bond. He faces additional charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and giving police a false name.

Walker was arrested after neighbors called police to report hearing what they thought was a child being beaten.

Officers at the scene say they heard a slapping sound and a baby crying.
