A first-of-its kind enrichment program just opened in south Tulsa. It's designed to get kids on the fast track to school success.

News on 6 anchor Scott Thompson has more on the new FasTracKids program.

There are a couple of things that make FasTracKids stand-out from other programs. It's specifically designed for 3 to 7-year-olds. And it uses similar technology to Harvard and MIT. The program uses a "smart board" that acts like a giant interactive touch screen. They can go up to the board, touch the screen and advance the lesson.

The program goes beyond typical curriculum for this age group to cover topics like world art, culture and geography.

Jeff Greer owns the Tulsa business. His background is in manufacturing not education. But he says the program was developed by educators to stimulate young minds at a time when their brains are developing the most. "The combination of both the strength of the curriculum, the way it's delivered and the way the children participate are going to really have lasting effects on the children for their entire life."

Many folks don't learn the art of public speaking until they're in high school. But FasTracKids are ahead of the curve.
