There are a record number of houses going up in the Tulsa metro area. So far this year, builders have started work on more than 2,150 homes.

That's 15% more than all of 2003. With 295, Owasso has the greatest number of new homes so far this year, but just barely.

Broken Arrow's had 294 starts so far.

Tulsa, Bixby, and Wagoner County are also contributing to the record numbers.
