(Elk City-AP) -- A Weatherford woman and her three-year-old daughter were killed early this morning after their 1996 Nissan crossed the center line of a highway and collided with a 1997 Ford.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Tammy Kay Christie died at the scene of head and internal injuries. Three-year-old Carissa Nichole Judd died of head injuries at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the Ford, 17-year-old Cassandra Whittington of Leedey, was treated and released.
The accident happened just before 12:30 a-m on State Highway 34 north of Elk City in Beckham County.
Troopers smelled alcohol on Christie. She and her daughter were not wearing their seat belts.
