An Oklahoma City woman, who used drugs while pregnant and lost her newborn, has gotten her son back.

Melissa Ferslew abused prescription painkillers. Her son tested positive for drugs when he was born. So the state took him away at the hospital and put him in foster care. Melissa was given a choice, clean up or lose your son forever.

She went to drug rehab and parenting classes and has her son back. Melissa thanks the state for taking him away. â€œI wouldn't be where Iâ€™m at today, and have what I have today, I wouldn't have my kids, I wouldn't have my family back, and Iâ€™d probably be dead or in jail.â€

Melissa still has to meet with her case worker and must pass random drug tests.
