An investigation into a fire that damages a Tulsa home has determined the fire's cause may be accidential.

The fire broke out around 3 AM Monday at 17th and Atlanta Place. When firefighters arrived, they found two cars on fire.

The fire had extended to the garage and the attic of the home. Those inside got out okay. Several of the family pets did not survive.

Fire officials say the fire appears to have started in the engine compartment of one of the vehicles.

Damage is estimated at least $40,000.
