The Tulsa County Sheriff's office remembered its fallen officers Friday. Twelve deputies were honored Friday at a special service at Chandler Park.

Of the 12 deputies lost by the sheriff's office, nine of those deaths came in the first 20 years after statehood.

The last deputy to die was in 1972, his name was Wesley Cole. His son was a deputy for many years, and his daughter still works for the department.
