Two hospitals for Owasso?

Two groups plan to build hospitals in Owasso. But there's concern the community can't support both. Haskell Enterprise Group wants to build the Owasso Medical Center, a nonprofit acute-care facility.

Two groups plan to build hospitals in Owasso. But there's concern the community can't support both. Haskell Enterprise Group wants to build the Owasso Medical Center, a nonprofit acute-care facility. It will have 50 beds.

Meanwhile another group wants to build the for-profit Bailey Medical Center and complex. It will have 49 beds.

City Manager Rodney Ray says Owasso wants a general hospital with emergency room and a birthing center. Ray is concerned the two facilities will put each other out of business.

He hopes to get the groups together to reach agreement to build only one hospital.
