A motorcycle driver finds out safety pays after an accident early Tuesday.

It happened shortly after 1:30 AM Tuesday. Tulsa Police say the driver tried to get off US Highway 169 at the Broken Arrow Exit and lost control.

To his credit, he was wearing a helmet and a leather jacket and pants. Police say that saved him from serious injury. He was disoriented. Officers say he thought he was in Chouteau. The man was taken to the hospital for observation.

His injuries are not life threatening.
