A high-speed police chase and crash on I-244 in Tulsa. A man running from the police crashed his car Wednesday morning on I-244 near Yale, leaving several people hurt.
36-year-old Russell Brunson of Inola was driving a black Trans-Am. Tulsa Police say he ran when they tried to stop him for speeding. Police backed off when the speeds exceeded a hundred miles an hour - but Brunson's car crashed a short time later.
Tulsa Police Captain Ray Nelson: "it's appears that the person, in the Trans Am, lost control, hit wall, across the road hit the end of the white van, had a lady and her child." The child was the least injured of the people hurt.
Brunson was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries; he's facing charges that include possession of methamphetamine.
