(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Testimony continued Wednesday before a special legislative committee investigating whether to recommend impeaching state Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher.
The eight-man committee heard from a state auditor who provided detailed accounting records from a continuing education fund and a charity established by Fisher. Fisher was indicted and is now charged with embezzlement and operating the charity illegally.
An official with Farmers Insurance Group also testified, saying Fisher requested information from the personnel file of his opponent in the 2002 general election. Fisher was reprimanded by the state Ethics Commission for using his official position to get the personnel file.
The committee is scheduled to hear more witnesses next week.
