Justin Walker and James Taylor have been charged with first degree murder in the October 2001 shooting death of Pawnee County Sheriff Dwight Woodrell junior.

Now, preliminary hearings are set for the two men starting next month. The judge is also allowing experts for the defense to review DNA testing on hairs found on Woodrell's clothing.

Woodrell was shot and killed in October 2001 while checking on an oil field service company in Pawnee County.
