SAPULPA, Okla., (AP) -- A rural Sapulpa man who led police on a car and foot chase before hitting an officer was arrested on assault and other complaints, police said Friday.
Victor R. Anderson, 25, punched officer Mike Pullen, leaving a cut above Pullen's left eye, said Sgt. Roger Norris.
Norris said he began following a speeding car that had passed him going in the opposite direction and ran several stop signs and a red light.
Anderson eventually lost control of the car and crashed through a yard and wooden fence, then tried to run from the officers. He turned and punched hit Pullen, Norris said.
Anderson was arrested on an assault complaint, Norris said, and several traffic charges may also be filed against him.
